The Brains of the Operation (Active Components)

These are the smart parts that make decisions and process information:

Microcontrollers (MCUs) - These are the tiny computers that run the show. They're like the mayor of our electronic city, making decisions and telling other components what to do. Common ones include STM32 and PIC chips that you'll find in everything from your coffee maker to car electronics.

Processors (CPUs/MPUs) - When you need serious computing power, these are your go-to. They handle complex calculations in computers, servers, and high-end devices.

Solder Mask and Silkscreen - The green coating that protects copper traces, and the white printing that helps assemblers put components in the right places.
