Capel’s single-sided flexible PCB for navigators is a core circuit component tailored for portable navigation devices (such as in-vehicle navigators and handheld outdoor navigators), featuring an ultra-thin and lightweight design and reliable performance to ensure accurate transmission of navigation signals. Adopting a 1-layer single-sided board structure with a thickness of only 0.05mm, it is a typical ultra-thin flexible PCB. With its extreme thinness and flexibility, it can flexibly fit the compact layout of screen modules, positioning modules, and battery components inside the navigator. It can even adapt to curved bodies or foldable designs, saving internal space to the greatest extent and helping the navigator achieve lightweight and miniaturization, meeting users’ portable carrying needs.

In terms of core materials and protection performance, it uses single-sided adhesive-free rolled 12/12.5 substrate. The 12μm ultra-thin rolled copper foil has a regular crystal structure, offering excellent conductivity and extremely low signal transmission loss. It can accurately carry GPS/Beidou positioning signals, map data transmission, and touch control commands of the navigator, avoiding signal delay or distortion that affects positioning accuracy. The surface is covered with 27.5μm single-sided yellow coverlay, which not only ensures strong insulation performance but also has good wear resistance and bending resistance. It can resist slight friction, collision, and temperature fluctuations (adapting to the operating environment of -20℃ to 60℃) during daily use, extending the PCB’s service life. The 2 microinches (approximately 0.0508μm) immersion gold surface treatment creates a uniform and dense gold layer, significantly improving the contact stability between pads, navigator connectors, and precision components, and reducing contact resistance. Even in scenarios of frequent power on/off or use in complex outdoor environments, it can ensure continuous and reliable circuit operation, guaranteeing accurate navigation positioning and smooth operation response.
